Meet Dina Weinberg

From the Sahara Desert, monasteries in Tibet, and tribal rituals in Irian Jaya, to temples in Vietnam, villages in Mali, and communities in Peru, Dina Weinberg travels the world to capture faces, places, and moments of daily life in developing countries.

Dina is stirred by every day people simply living their lives in their natural environments. An adventurer at heart, she has journeyed to five continents and is passionately driven to capture photographic images that honor the people she encounters.

Dina believes in “giving back” and does so through her work and volunteerism. She is committed to international development efforts, with a special interest in crisis conflict resolution and human rights, including children’s rights and protection. Many of Dina’s photos feature children.

Speaker and Human Rights Activist
In addition to her photography, Dina draws on her experience as a professional speaker, communication specialist, and human rights activist to grow leaders, build awareness, and develop and implement much-needed programs around the world.

  • Through the human rights organization Jewish World Watch, she has been actively involved in presentations/discussions concerning the crisis in Darfur.

  • She spearheaded the “Caravan for Peace” initiative where genocide survivors of the twentieth century, as well as other religious and community leaders, caravanned to meet with the Consuls General of United Nations member states based in Los Angeles, urging their nations to deploy a UN peacekeeping force to Darfur.

  • Dina partnered with Spirituality for Kids, an organization dedicated to ceasing the suffering of children globally, to research, identify, and analyze the feasibility of launching a human dignity education program for children in South Africa.

  • Through the Women’s International Zionist Organization, Dina led the efforts to bridge a communication gap between management and the social workers of a youth village for emotionally disabled youngsters, initiating a strategy to improve communications through cross-functional team meetings and structured follow-up procedures.

  • In Botswana, she created and facilitated a program to improve the communications skills of a team of field geologists working in the Kalahari Desert. She also worked with the Bana ba Keletso orphan day care center for children, writing marketing materials and advising management on strategies to improve leadership effectiveness.
