In my travels all around the world, no matter how different the customs, rituals, clothing and language, I have found that we all share the commonality of our humanity. These photographs have been taken to honor every day people, cultures, and societies with the intention of awakening each of us to our shared humanity.
The original intent of this Web site was to simply display beauty and images which evoke emotions and passion: a woman walking elegantly with her “home” literally piled atop of her head while carrying her baby on her back; a joyous young Peruvian girl beaming brightly while playing; a girl in Burkina Faso caught sheepishly laughing; and even a tribal man in Irian Jaya boldly standing in a defensive posture.
This site is now designed with the intention of bringing peace, eliminating barriers, and honoring those who have devoted their careers to such work.
I invite you to be touched by these faces and to be forever shifted by these people as I have been. They have changed my life and I hope they will do so for you too.
